Release notesVersion 0.1.0 · Free beta · Signed and notarized by Apple · Apple silicon and Intel
Download FolderSafe.dmg2.6 MB · macOS 13 or later
FolderSafe checks ntfstool.com for new versions and tells you when one is out. Your encrypted folders are separate from the app, so updating never touches them.
Create a test folder first, lock it, unlock it, and try the recovery words once. Then move your real archives in.
FolderSafe is signed with a Developer ID and notarized by Apple, so macOS opens it normally.
Verify your download in Terminal with shasum -a 256 FolderSafe.dmg.

Release notesFound a bug or missing something? Use Help > Send Feedback in the app, or write to us.
Send feedbackYour files, folder names and passwords never leave your Mac. The app checks ntfstool.com for updates and sends an anonymous daily-use ping with the app version; it never sends file names or paths. No account is needed.
Lock your folders, quit FolderSafe and drag it to the Trash. Your encrypted folders stay where they are and still open with the master password.
